Airport connections

Start your holiday or business trip the hassle-free way by getting to the airport by train.

We run direct trains to Birmingham International, Stansted and Southampton airports, and you can get to other UK airports using dedicated bus or rail links from stations served by CrossCountry. We recommend that you aim to get to the airport at least 2 hours before your flight check-in time.

The station is linked to the airport passenger terminals by a free, frequent Air-Rail Link monorail service running every 2 minutes with a journey time of less than 2 minutes.

Southampton Airport

Station: Southampton Airport Parkway

There’s easy pedestrian access between the station and the terminal building. The station is located directly beneath the airport terminal with step free access via escalators, lifts or ramps which take you straight into the check-in area.

Stansted Airport provides a free service for passengers with reduced mobility to assist with their journey through the Terminal to the aircraft. Passengers are advised to book this free facility with their airline at least 48 hours before their flight departure to ensure they receive the assistance they require. The ISS special assistance desk is located in the Terminal adjacent to Zones D and E. Please note that this is separate from the CrossCountry JourneyCare service.
