If you need to work on the move, or just want to relax and watch the world go by, why not move up to First Class to enjoy larger, reclining seats, more table space and a calm environment.
Travelling First Class needn't be expensive - we offer great value fares when you book in advance. At weekends, you can upgrade on-board for as little as £10 one-way on many services.
Your First Class menu
Our First Class menu is available 07.00 to 20.00, Monday to Friday, when travelling between Manchester and Bristol , Manchester and Bournemouth, Edinburgh and Plymouth and Newcastle and Reading.
To help you make the most of your travelling experience, our First Class menu offers a variety of complimentary food and drinks.
We refresh our First Class menus every week. Breakfast, lunch or afternoon, you're assured of a delicious treat made with the best ingredients, plus we always offer vegetarian options.
To start the day, choose from breakfast snacks including bacon bap, egg and mushroom muffin and granola and fruit yoghurt.
Our daytime range includes pepperoni pizza, chilli beef parcel and mozzarella and tomato bloomer.

Throughout the day we also offer light bites including crisps and Duchy Original biscuits, as well as a variety of complimentary hot and cold drinks for you to enjoy:

Please note:
- Our catering facilities, including complimentary First Class refreshments, are not available between Plymouth and Penzance (except on those trains to / from Newquay), or between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central, Dundee and Aberdeen.
- For those journeys where there is not a dedicated First Class Host, and there is a full at-seat service, this will continue through to First Class - please listen for announcements.
- On those services between Nottingham and Cardiff and between Birmingham and Leicester and Stansted Airport where there is a full at-seat service, this will continue through to First Class so that you can purchase your refreshments - please listen for announcements.
- Menus do not apply at weekends or on Bank Holidays. On weekend and Bank Holiday services, complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits will be provided by an at-seat service.
- Alcoholic drinks served to over-18s only.
- All products are subject to availability and are not available on all services. The above menus are subject to change - we are constantly improving our range of food and drink available on board.
